Direct Entry is an alternative pathway to gaining admission into universities at an advanced level not the regular 100 level/first year without taking the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
It is primarily aimed at individuals who possess certain qualifications, such as: A-levels (Cambridge, International Baccalaureate, JUPEB, or IJMB), National Diploma (ND), Higher National Diploma (HND), or professional certifications( ICAN, ACCA or CIPM) as well as candidates who transfer credit scores from their current university.
To be eligible for admissions into Miva Open University through Direct Entry, applicants must possess one of the following qualifications in addition to meeting the ‘O’ Level requirements for the programmes:
- Passes in relevant subjects (‘A’ Level, IJMB, International Baccalaureate (IB), JUPEB)
- Diploma in relevant areas (NCE, ND, HND)
- Professional Certificates (ICAN, ICMA, CIBN, AAT, ACCA, ATS, AIB, CISN, etc)
